Outstanding Young Citizen 2018

Four Deer Lakes High School students were recognized in this year’s Trib Total Media 2018 Outstanding Young Citizen Award program.

Deer Lakes students Katrina Taliani, Allison Blackwell, Karns Hazlett and Joshua Solomon were among the Elite Top 100 students chosen from the 533 nominations  representing 97 area high schools who were recognized at the dinner that was held on April 18.

For more than 20 years, Trib Total Media has recognized the achievements of local high school students with the Outstanding Young Citizen Award. Family, friends, teachers and school officials can nominate students based on their exemplary character, academic achievements, leadership and community service.

The awards were presented by Trib Total Media with support from sponsor the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.

Other Deer Lakes students who were also selected as nominees for the award included A.J. Dorman, Riley Luniewski, Jacob McCaskey, Angelina Saldamarco, Julie Smallwood and Brendan Wangler.
